What is a Brain App?

Your brain has certain capabilities. We use the metaphor of a smartphone App: a Brain App is like a tool for your brain. What are your brain’s key competencies? Are you using those fully?

“Brain Apps” are not necessarily behaviors. “App” is a metaphor to describe capability. They describe capabilities that you can use. What does your brain like to do? What functions are easy and smooth for your brain?

What’s the link between Brain Talents and Emotional Intelligence?

These talents are not the same as emotional intelligence (EQ), but they all include elements of EQ. When you use your Brain Talents, you’ll be applying your EQ to assist you — and strengthening your EQ.

Vital Signs is an integrated suite of assessment tools, provide insight into the major performance factors and outcomes that affect a organization’s long-term success and effectiveness. The Vital Signs model is based on actual business experience and employs terminology that is understandable to those who lead and work in organizations. The assessment tools are well-validated and internationally standardized, and they offer actionable data at the leadership, team, and organizational levels. The Vital Signs model and toolkit are used by certified consultants in a wide range of organizational settings, including small, not-for-profit organizations and large, multinational corporations is developed by Six Seconds.

The Vital Signs Model defines five key drivers of organizational effectiveness: Trust, Motivation, Change, Teamwork, and Execution.

Leadership Vital Signs (LVS)

LVS is a multi-rater evaluation that offers targeted feedback about your leadership and comparisons between your perceptions and those of others. The five elements of the VS Model—motivation, change, execution, teamwork, and trust—are used to define “leadership” in this context. The leadership-specific outcomes of Influence, Efficacy, Design, and Direction complement these climate drivers.

Teams Vital Signs (TVS)

TVS is a study of team members experience working together. It assesses the factors that influence team performance and provides information on the dynamics of the team and the workplace. While the TVS also includes the team-specific outcomes of Satisfaction, Results, Agility, and Sustainability, the LVS and OVS share the same primary Vital Signs drivers. The TVS provides the information required for a transformative conversation about team dynamics and performance. It is quick and simple to administer.

Organizational Vital Signs (OVS)

OVS uses a targeted study that can be completed on paper or online and is a well-validated way to gauge organizational climate. It quickly and accurately gives a snapshot of the organization’s human resources. As a guide for improvement, OVS measures important Vital Signs performance drivers connected to realistic enterprise-specific outcomes. Retention, Productivity, Customer Focus, and Future Success are the organizational outcomes.

Educational Vital Signs (EVS)

The “school climate” is measured by the EVS survey. School Climate is an indicator of the collective feelings, relationships, and reactions in the learning environment. The five key elements that drive the school climate are Trust, Commitment, Growth, Connection and Accountability. A positive culture drives engagement, unlocks collaboration, and fuels learning. It offers opinions about how it feels to be at the school from various stakeholders. It tracks the factors that influence performance at a particular moment in time and offers helpful information for creating a social emotional learning strategy that will increase the learning experience’s beneficial effects. EVS measures four outcomes aligned to the key elements of school climate: Thriving, Learning, Safety, Involvement.
